11 years of experience
Laurie Freeman, LMFT has over 10 years of counseling experience with families, individuals and children.

As a graduate of Indiana University and Christian Theological Seminary Marriage and Family Therapy Program, Laurie has worked with a variety of clients with depression, anxiety, anger, divorce and family conflict.

She will meet your where you are in determining how best to address the situation causing discomfort in life. At times, one needs compassion and understanding to heal. Other times a change in thinking or perspective might facilitate postitive changes.  Sometimes mental health issues have biological origins and require medication. Laurie will assess the situation and make recommendations to appropriate psychiatric providers if needed.
Laurie tries to create a safe, non-judgemental environment  that welcomes all regardless of gender preference and she welcomes diversity.  She tends to communicate directly while also incorporating humor, which she believes is a pwerful healing tool.

In addition, Laurie is a parent and caretaker to elderly parents so she has a wide range of life experience from which to draw.
